2000 Trees Preview
We are now only a few weeks away from one of the best music festivals the U.K. has to offer so let’s take a look at reasons why you don’t want to miss the award winning 2000 Trees.
2000 Trees is known for always having a killer line up and this year is no different. This year sees the mighty Gaslight Anthem, Aussie punks The Chats and the Bedford powerhouse Don Broco headline the festival; with the likes of Manchester Orchestra, Wargasm, Creeper, Kids In Glass Houses, Empire State Bastard, Frank Turner, and Bob Vylan also on the bill it’s set to be a huge year! But 2000 Trees isn’t just about the big names, the festival has a huge array of smaller bands for you to discover, you might even find your new favourite band!
Whilst this is a festival, it’s not huge in scale when compared to the likes of Download or Reading and Leeds but that’s what makes it such an exciting festival. The festival is easy to get around meaning you’re less likely to miss that spot down the front for a band you really want to see. There is also the fantastically unique Forest Stage. Set amongst the trees this is the perfect place to catch some new bands but also see intimate sets from some of the biggest names on the line up.
Amongst the music, there’s also a range of things to do from morning yoga to quizzes in the afternoon. There’s also a host of comedians performing to keep everyone entertained whilst taking a break from the music. Once the bands are finished for the day the silent disco takes over. This year sees a new addition to the silent disco. Live bands including The Hara, Mimi Barks, Noisy and Calva Louise will be playing sets on the forest stage channeled through the silent disco headphones to keep the party going until the early hours. On the final day there is also the yearly fancy dress day, this years theme is 2000 Screams so expect something spooky!
If you want to know more about the festival head over to the 2000 Trees website or dive into the festivals Spotify playlist to check out the bands playing across the weekend. Keep an eye on our page and social media for coverage of the full weekend! See you in the fields!
