Lord of the Lost releases knockout new single, “I Will Die In It”
It would be an understatement to say I was thrilled to hear the news of another song being released by German dark rock band Lord of the Lost. I am a big fan of this band and even more so after experiencing and photographing a live show last year, where I was completely immersed in the music and felt their songs in my core.
This new track, “I Will Die in It,” is visceral and strong. It is the second single released on their upcoming album, “OPVS NOIR, Vol. 1.” The album includes 11 tracks and will be released on August 8, 2025, via Napalm Records.
This single, with Chris Harms’ signature deep and haunting voice along with the heavy and melodic music, immediately draws you in. The drumming and guitar playing is absolutely dynamic. All of these components make this an impressive and unforgettable song. Especially intriguing is the instrumental build to a chant of “born hating, die loving,” which provides an emotional impact, increasing in tension to a peak of anticipation.
Lord of the Lost is very versatile musically and it is exciting to hear the new singles as they are released because you never know what is coming, but you know they are going to be good. “I Will Die In It” is a powerful song with a meaningful message. I see it as you are given a life, and you choose how to live it. Persevere and make it the best life you can, both for yourself and others.
