NOAHFINNCE Absolutely Rocked The Electric Ballroom

NOAHFINNCE Absolutely Rocked The Electric Ballroom

The evening kicked off with South Arcade, who I have seen many times now but seem to get better and better every time I see them. They really brought the energy, non-stop jumping, starting off with ‘DANGER’ before leading into ‘Nepo Baby’. The crowd seemed to know all the words as they sang them back to Harmony. They then played their 2 most recent singles ‘HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER’ which is full of fun sound effects and ‘Moth Kids’ which has a very catchy chorus before playing some of their earlier more well-known songs including ‘Unaware’ and ‘Sound Of An Empty Room’, leaving the crowd cheering before Taylor Acorn took to the stage.

Taylor Acorn started with my favourite song ‘Final Nail’ off her recently released album ‘Survival in Motion’. Taylor and her band always bring all their energy to the stage and put on such an amazing show while Ricky Jab (guitarist) spins non-stop. Taylor Acorn continued with many upbeat songs from ‘Survival in Motion’ and her previous album ‘Certified Depressant’ before bringing everyone into their feels with an acoustic cover of ‘Birds Still Sing’. I never get tired of seeing Taylor Acorn live, she does an incredible job of singing about tough topics such as mental health while turning them into catchy pop-punk tunes with a country twist. She had the whole crowd dancing along by the end of her set and I don’t blame them, hearing these songs live is incredible, she filled the venue with such a wholesome atmosphere.

It was finally time for NOAHFINNCE, having seen him play at Bludfest earlier this summer and security having to fence off the second stage as too many people showed up, I knew it was going to be an insane show! They went all out on production, lining the stage with pink televisions that lit up and flickered. Having released his debut album ‘GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET’ and its deluxe version recently, he gave us an almost full playthrough of the album as well as throwing in a few of his older songs which happened to be some of my favourites including ‘TELL ME THAT YOU’RE OKAY’. He truly put on a pop-punk/ alt-rock show with his amazing stage presence, interacting with all the fans and making jokes throughout the night. The room was full of pride flags and fans enjoying themselves, this concert was definitely a safe space for many fans and had the most amazing energy.

I’ve loved this album ever since it was released but getting to hear nearly the full album live while watching everyone singing and jumping along made me love the songs even more, I especially enjoyed the opening song ‘I KNOW BETTER’ and ‘SUBTITLES’, the sound production on the entire album is crazy and so well thought out. Being able to write these catchy songs about your personal experience and help your fans feel less alone is a feat in itself.

I 100% recommend going and seeing him when he next tours! You won’t regret it!
