Olivia Dean Returns with New Album 'The Art of Loving' and Single 'Nice To Each Other'

After earning a Mercury Prize nomination for her debut album Messy, Olivia Dean has returned, stepping into a bold new chapter. Her second album, The Art of Loving, is set for release on 26 September, and it promises to be her most personal work yet, giving her fans the chance to feel even closer to this talented artist!
The album will delve into themes such as love, romance, friendship and even a touch of self-reflection. All of these beautiful themes promise to be integrated through Dean’s signature soul-rooted and sun-drenched pop.
She describes the record as “a tender, intentional deep dive” into the intricacies of connection, offering a more emotionally open sound than ever before.
Dean has also dropped the album’s lead single, Nice To Each Other which we believe is a nice breezy, joyful reflection on the ebbs and flows of dating in the modern world. “It’s about enjoying someone in the present and allowing it to be both light and meaningful,” she says. The track is accompanied by a visually stunning one-take music video, directed by Jake Erland, which adds a nice little cinematic touch to the song’s relaxed vibe.
Building on the success of her debut album, Messy, which consecrated her place as one of the UK’s most interesting new voices in soul and pop, The Art of Loving showcases Dean’s growth as both a songwriter and storyteller. Her lyrical openness and warm vocal delivery are expected to reach new depths on this upcoming release... Which we are. So. Here. For!
Before this highly anticipated album drops, Dean will be busy performing all summer with a wide variety of acts and supporting some huge names!
