The Devil Wears Prada Release Expressive Video for New Single “For You”

Both a new single and music video "For You" by metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada have been released. The short track contains powerful lyrics and the band's sound is familiar yet distinct and unexpected, weaving in different directions. It is compelling in its own unique way and definitely deserves a listen. The accompanying music video beautifully translates the song into visual form. It begins by depicting scenes that match the calming vocals of Jeremy DePoyster and Mike Hranica, but don't get used to that slow speed just yet. This is a song by The Devil Wears Prada after all.
The intensity builds as the song continues by strongly portraying the passionate emotions of frustration and anguish, and Hranica hits hard with a shift to his screaming vocals at about the halfway point, which transitions to music matching his screams in a staccato-like pattern. Combining both vocalists for the chorus puts extra emphasis on the message. The ending circles back to a softer sound with piano accompaniment.
"A love story unraveling through the eyes of someone hopelessly devoted to a partner who can never truly give back," the band says about the song's meaning. "It's the sound of desperation meeting blind loyalty — a crushing, cinematic anthem for the heartbroken. This is The Devil Wears Prada at our most expansive, with our biggest chorus to date and a fearless step into the next evolution of our sound. We're not just pushing boundaries — we're redefining them."
The Devil Wears Prada is currently on their Metalcore Spring Break Tour, with Erra, Kingdom of Giants, and Acres serving as support. The band will also appear at Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville.
